In 2009, Tom Lorenzen embarked on the thrilling adventure of T&O LabSystems. Finally, the long-awaited dream of entrepreneurship, closer to technology and freedom. But the benefits of self-employment also come with their fair share of vices – especially the emotional rollercoaster is a constant companion. Such a rollercoaster is most fun when shared with your closest loved ones, and so from the very beginning, his sons Dennis and Dave Lorenzen were right there with him – truly a family business! 🤩
Time has flown by, and the growth of T&O is quite impressive. Now, in the executive trio with Dave and Dennis, another significant step was taken in 2021: He successfully handed over the company to his children 🤝. But Tom wouldn’t be Tom if he simply retired. No, he remained a loyal employee of the company, dedicating himself mainly to our new building – thank you for that, we feel right at home here.
After many years of hard work for the T&O family, Tom can now officially call himself a retiree as of September 1, 2023. “Retiree with a part-time job at T&O LabSystems,” as he proudly announced at his surprise farewell during the summer party 😆. Because he will be around and offer support wherever he can. But, of course, only when he’s not off on new adventures: camping in the wilderness🏕️, sailing across the Baltic Sea🛳️, or simply relaxing in his own garden👨🌾. Enjoy your retirement, Tom!
